Probiotics and Odor Control in Industrial Applications
By Julie Ann Ponder
An undesirable by-product of many industrial facilities is foul odor. There are a wide-range of products that, during the manufacturing process, create an offensive odor that results in poor working conditions, complaints from neighbors and often monetary fines from regulatory authorities. Companies are finding solutions that include masking agents to cover the odor, mechanical methods to capture the odor, or chemical agents to neutralize the odor. Ms. Ponder’s presentation will highlight an all-natural approach to odor control. Through case study examples, she will share how SCD Probiotics work to eliminate the odor at the source while neutralizing odor almost immediately. The presentation includes real world applications of facilities facing different pressures to control their odor emissions and how SCD Probiotics provided an environmentally-friendly solution to the problem.
