- Mark Schmidtlein, CEO of American Walnut Company LLC
American Walnut Company is a 100 year old company that is the world's largest provider of American walnut gunstocks for hunting and sporting shotguns and rifles. Prior to his ownership of this company, Mark spent over 25 years in the banking business employed by UMB Bank of Kansas City and The PrivateBank and Trust Company (Chicago, Illinois)
Mark has an MBA from Rockhurst University and earned a BS in Agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He considers himself a lifelong resident of Kansas City where he has been involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations throughout his career. He currently serves of the Chairman of the Board for the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City, Board and Finance Committee Member of the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, board member of Brush Creek Community Partners and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph’s annual Celebration of Hope dinner. He is also a board member of Probiotic Holdings LLC and 9 Point Energy.
Mark and his wife, Peggy, have two children, John and Marley. When not working, Mark enjoys working out, golf (not really), fishing and reading.
- Matthew Wood, Chief Executive Officer, SCD Probiotics
Matthew Wood founded SCD Probiotics in 1998 after extensive study in the science of beneficial microorganisms. Matthew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and his Master’s of Science Degree in Bioproduction at the University of Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan under the direction of Dr. Teruo Higa. Fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese, Matthew has been a frequent guest speaker at global conferences on sustainability and probiotic technology.
- Ralph Wrobley, OF COUNSEL, Husch Blackwell
Ralph Wrobley assists Energy clients with corporate, international law, and mergers and
acquisitions matters. He has served as principal acquisition counsel for four New York Stock Exchange companies and one Nasdaq-traded firm, as well as numerous other public and private businesses. He also has extensive experience in the general representation of middle-market privately held businesses.
Awards and Recognitions include: The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions (Missouri), Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers, and Who's Who in America.

Ralph has authored Work, Life & the High Calling of the Law: A Managing Partner’s Perspective,” LawyerAvenue Press, 2010 and Lending officer’s manuals for secured transactions in Kansas and Missouri, 1965.
