SECURED AND TRUSTED CHECKOUT WITH:
This unique, all-in-one kit sets you up for easy indoor composting success thanks to the convenient microbial power of All Seasons Liquid Bokashi™ and our Indoor Composter bucket’s innovative design. Liquid Bokashi makes it easy to ferment your food waste first before you transfer it to your outdoor compost bin, garden soil, or curbside pick-up to transform it into organic compost. And with the All Seasons Liquid Bokashi, you get more servings per 8-oz bottle than a 2.2 lb bag of dry Bokashi. Fermenting your compost using this technique allows you to start the composting process easily after every meal or snack, forget worry about balancing “greens” and “browns” just so, retain more nutrients for your compost, keep composting going indoors in cold temperatures, and control the odors normally associated with food decay. All you should smell is the sweet-and-sour scent of fermentation.

To start indoor composting: Cover the bottom of the All Seasons Indoor Composter bucket with a layer of either All Seasons Bokashi or Liquid Bokashi. Place fresh food scraps in the bucket, thoroughly coating every layer of scraps with a layer of Bokashi compost starter. Close the lid tightly after every use to ensure an anaerobic (oxygen-free/closed-air) environment. Oxygen can cause odor during the composting process. Make sure to drain liquid frequently to prevent putrefaction.
Once your bucket is filled to capacity, bury the bucket contents—your compost—directly in soil—or let the food waste continue to ferment for two weeks, draining the liquid compost tea every 1-3 days. Then transfer compost from your bucket to your garden or planter. Allow at least two more weeks for the fermentation process to continue in the soil before planting your favorite veggies, flowers, trees, or more.
Depending on the size of your household, you may find it useful to use a system of two indoor composting buckets.
For more instruction, download our Usage Guide.
Place your compost bin under your kitchen sink or in any other convenient, indoor location. The All Seasons Indoor Composter is not designed or suited for outdoor use, as extreme temperatures can change or halt the fermentation process.

The lid needs a lift tab in the center of each of the four sides in order to be more functional, or a circular design may work. The lid only lasts about 2 months before it will crack in the center. I used the designed lift tab and that is how the tear started.
I had a great and quick response from SCD and I am being sent a new lid. Customer service is everything, and I feel my previous review may have been a bit harsh.
Use a five gallon bucket from the hardware store and install a dropper. If you want to save yourself some bucks.
Thanks again SCD!
We're sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with your item, but we really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention; Our Quality Control team has been notified about it and they're looking into it. In the meantime, we would like to send you a free lid replacement. Please be advised that we provide a 90-day warranty for the buckets and its accessories. Our buckets and accessories are made from quality materials but, as with most plastic products, are still subject to wear and tear. One useful tip to prolong product lifespan is to open/pull the lid using the notch provided on one of the edges.
Hope this helps!
The spigot still leaks. It loses tension after fully tightened. I will tighten the spigot such that it is at it's tightest point (see note on this below), and it will leak liquid afterwards. The bokashi tea is known to be the extremely smelly waste product of the process, so it's not a nice surprise to find it's leaked all over the kitchen. Had to bleach everything twice so far.
I can tighten the spigot so that it is closed, continue turning, and it's loose again. Why this design?
I did not know anything about this method and was looking for a way to speed up my composting. The Bokashi liquid what it claims. The bucket container is nice overall BUT the spigot is of very poor quality and does not hold up. Translation - nasty smelly leaks on your floor. My unit was just three weeks old when I started to notice that the tension in the spigot valve was slipping. To the folks at SCD Probiotics, good idea but you really need to vet the quality of this vulnerable but very important part! The rest of the set up is good. Also, the idea that this "composts" your waste is not really accurate. It's actually a fermentation process that when dumped into a compost pile will break down faster than if it was not fermented.
Side note - I discovered that you can convert any plastic bucket into a facsimile of this unit by adding a beverage spigot, or even use a cooler with a spigot to do the same job. The only caveat is that you will need to screen off the bottom so that the waste does not block the spigot opening. Sorry SCD, I think you need to rethink this container despite it's nice looks. At the very least you need to upgrade the spigot with something a big more robust. I fear my second unit will end up the same way in a few weeks. I see that you sell replacement spigots but I think I'll look for something more robust at my local hardware store. Maybe even something made of metal made specifically for buckets or rain barrels that fits your opening.
We would like to apologize for the bad experience you've had with the composter spigot. We hear you and we have escalated your feedback to our production team. In the meantime, we will send you a replacement spigot. Someone from the team will contact you soon to confirm your shipping information.
Your business means a lot to us, so if you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
We have been using the Indoor Composter for over a week now, and have stated seeing the results. My wife has been layering food waste and spraying it each time, no bad smells and you can see the process, we will be getting our first "tea" from it soon. Great product for the small or urban gardener.
Was a little concerned trying the spray stuff since it's not the usual bokashi bran, but I gotta say this stuff works great. The scraps I added weren't very fresh but fermented just fine anyway with the spray.
